Nacondus G. Gamble, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Nacondus G. Gamble, O.D F.A.A.O is a residentially trained, ocular injection certified provider, and therapeutically licensed optometrist licensed to practice in both Georgia and South Carolina. She attended Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina, and gained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She received her Bachelor of Science and Doctoral Degree in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now Salus University) and completed her residency training in the school’s Low Vision Department. After completing her residency training, she moved to South Carolina briefly and then made Savannah, Georgia her home. She is a dedicated professional and enjoys sharing her eye-related knowledge with her staff, patients, or anyone excited about eyeballs.

Dr. Gamble enjoys working with her patients and is always available to answer your eye care questions. She consistently goes the extra mile to make sure that each eye exam is tailored to the needs of the patient so that they receive a personalized and comfortable experience. She currently works with the Georgia Optometric Association’s Executive Board as a past president. She is very active in supporting the community and has organized a community event to raise awareness about small business commerce in Pembroke Georgia called, The Parade of Business. This event was used to awaken the Pembroke Georgia community after COVID restrictions began to lift in 2020 and to also support the reinvigoration of the business community in that area.

Dr. Gamble has completed locally televised discussions about cutting-edge therapies that could help to stop or reverse myopia, and she received additional postgraduate training to become certified in Georgia to administer ocular injections anteriorly on the eye. This extensive 30-hour course was in addition to the 42 hours of continuing education she must maintain to be licensed in Georgia. She has completed presentations at various local churches, doctors’ offices and at other community events. She has strong support for the military community as her career started at Fort Stewart Army base in 2009, and she works with programs that assist service members in completing the daunting disability claim process.

Dr. Gamble is very active in her church community and is a longstanding member of The Jonesville Baptist Church Marriage Ministry as a marriage leader. She can be seen ushering members to their seats during Sunday morning worship or signing on the praise and worship team. Dr. Gamble is married with 3 beautiful children. She enjoys traveling with them and exploring new places and ideas. In her downtime, she loves to cook and style her daughters’ hair. Her daily goal is to learn something new every day and to always strives to be better. Dr. Gamble, FAAO is currently accepting new patients of all ages, and she enjoys working with kids and seniors.

She was elected president of the Georgia Optometric Association in June of 2023. She stays connected to the community she lives in and was appointed as a board member of the local TOS Theater revitalization project in Pembroke Georgia. This role connects Dr. Gamble to her newfound passion of the performing Arts. In July of 2023, she was in a small production of Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child at the Savannah Civic Center.

Dr. Gamble has worked with Georgia 2020, a non-profit group helping to provide eye care to the underserved in Georgia. She has served as a member of the AOA Membership Committee and the AOA Resolution Committee. Furthering her cause of uniting and assisting in her community, Dr. Gamble also offers free or reduced-cost glasses to those in need.


Mr. Jimmie, Practice Manager & Optical Lead

Jimmie has been with the company the longest and provides stability to both the administrative side of the company and our optical department. Prior to his role at The South Eastern Eye Center, he worked with a manufacturing company at the Georgia Shipping Port in management and logistics. He brought that special skill set of organization and leadership to our practice. Onsite, he has learned the art of manufacturing eyewear and helps to manage the day-to-day tasks of our full-service optical center. He truly enjoys assisting patients with the eye wear selection process in to help patients find eye wear appropriate for lifestyle success. Mr. Jimmie, as he is affectionately called, can be seen all over the office assisting the doctor, checking patients in, fixing the water fountain, or even talking shop with a fellow sports fan about his beloved Philadelphia Eagles.

Shameka G., Office Manager

Ms. Shameka is our office manager and has been an integral part of the reorganization of the practice. She handles the day-to-day activities of the practice and assists the doctor as she tries to maintain patient flow. Not only does she care for our patient’s every need, but she also helps to keep the staff on track for peak efficiency.
Ms. Shameka came from a strong background in community service by working for the state of Georgia. Once she completed her Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, it was her goal to make healthcare management her life.
Ms. Shameka has one son, and she loves to watch him play video games. They often enjoy Anime shows together as well.
Ms. Shameka lives in our community and connects with our patients in such a professional manner, that she has been a much-needed part of our growing team!! She keeps them coming back for more!!

Josiah B., Optical Team Member

Josiah is our exciting new addition to the optical team! He is young, knowledgeable, friendly, and full of great ideas to help make our optical store a success! He works with the manufacturing labs to limit mistakes with eyewear orders, and he makes it his business to make hold them accountable when they are off task.

Even though he’s currently in college, he does not let that stop him from working to service our patients! His passion for quality eye care is evident on a daily basis! He is known to make patients visit him in our optical store, and the get quality service and a good chuckle while they are there. “Period!”
